On 5th June 2024, NIPS organized a successful Environment Day Program led by Bari Nongrum. The purpose of the program was to raise awareness of sustainability and environmental awareness. We received key personnel from Taj Vivanta Shillong, including Ms Debasmita Sahoo Saphira Nongkynrih (HR representatives) and other staff members at the event. The program was covered by media representatives from Batesi Channel and Mawphor.

We began the program with an opening speech by the HR representatives from Taj Vivanta Shillong, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation. NIPS had arranged a tree planting activity, where Taj Vivanta’s staff generously donated saplings, which were planted in collaboration with NIPS staff, reinforcing a commitment to a greener campus. In the second half, media interviews were conducted with Wellborn Sir and Bari Nongrum, highlighting NIPS courses and their relevance to sustainability.
